What Remedy Can HAS℠ Provide?

Mortgage Payment Reduction Refinance

If you currently live in the property, HAS℠ may be able to help you refinance into a lower monthly mortgage payment. To qualify, you must be current on your mortgage payments and may only have one missed mortgage payment in the last 12 months.

Only borrowers who will receive a net tangible benefit for the refinance will be eligible.

If eligible for a refinance, borrowers may be able to skip up to two mortgage payments as part of the refinance. To apply for a VA Home Loan HAS℠ refinance, click here.

VA-HLC HAP Grant / Subsidy / Seller’s Assistance

If you have been PCS’d or no longer live in the home and are unable to afford to sustain two payments for living expenses, the VA-HLC HAP may be the solution for you.

Under the program, veterans and their families are able to sell their home at no out of pocket cost.

No equity is required, even homeowners who are “upside down” will qualify.

Among the remedies available under the program include: 1) grants to pay off any loan balances, closing costs, and moving expenses; 2) subsidies to pay for any shortage not covered by the grant(s).
