There are several interesting historical landmarks and structures in Hancock County, which you can’t miss. The Hancock County Courthouse was built in 1890 and still stands in the county seat of Garner. The Courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. The George E. Stubbins House was once the residence of a merchant. The House features Gothic Revival acheitecture and was built in 1922. The George E. The Pilot Knob State Park is an excellent place to take in the views of the Iowa country side.
