Spirit Lake is one of the largest lakes in the county and is where the county seat got its name. Spirit Lake is 5,684 acres and features a multitude of different fish species, including bluegill, crappie, muskie, and more. Go camping along the shores of Spirit Lake and enjoy in the many camping amenities. Other lakes in Dickinson County include East Okoboji Lake and West Okoboji Lake.
