Located on the eastern side of Idaho, Teton County is home to part of the Targhee National Forest, which makes it a great location for people who love the outdoors. Encompassing a total area of 451 square miles, Teton County is the second-smallest county in Idaho. The beautiful Teton Mountains are where Teton County gets its name. Mule deer, moose, elk, and pronghorn are just a few of the interesting species of wildlife that can be found in Teton County.
Artists will feel right at home in Teton County. Photographers and painters enjoy visiting the Teton Mountains to paint and photograph the amazing views. The Teton Arts Council provides art classes and hosts many art showings. One of the many festivals held in Teton County is “Music on Main,” which showcases musical acts throughout the summer. Local musicians and touring acts take part in the festival.
