Created by the Georgia General Assembly on February 16, 1856, Terrell County was formed from portions of Randolph and Lee counties. Terrell County was named after Dr. William Terrell, who was on both the Georgia General Assembly and the United States House of Representatives. Located in Southwest Georgia, Terrell County has a strong agricultural community. The county has great local restaurants and shopping areas.
