There are several Nationally Registered Historic Places located in Lincoln County. The Lincolnton Presbyterian Church and Cemetery were built in 1823 and remain in the county seat of Lincolnton, Ga. Other Nationally Registered Historic Places in Lincoln County include the Lamar-Blanchard House, Lincoln County Courthouse, and Matthews House. History lovers should also visit the Elijah Clark State Park and Museum.
Lincoln County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia. The logging industry is huge in Lincoln County. Many large corporations have moved to Lincoln County, including Hero Metal, Top Grill, and Charles Owen, Inc.
