Created on December 15, 1818, Hall County was named after Dr. Lyman Hall. Dr. Hall was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a Governor of Georgia. The county is located in the northern portion of Georgia. There are several colleges and universities located in Hall County. Hall County is also home to Lanier Technical College, which is an accredited college that offers many technical programs.
There are many great attractions to see in Hall County. The home of the Atlanta Falcons, the Falcons Complex, is located in Hall County. If you are an avid football fan, then there is no better place to visit! For fans of racing, the Lanier National Speedway holds frequent car races. Other great places to visit, include Road Atlanta and the Georgia Mountains Center.
